I think you're right about the similarity between english and chinese ancient language when it comes to verses or poems. I sometimes feel modern chinese is less powerful in expression, less neat and tend to be prolix 8 x/ T% ?: c. B$ M7 V$ {6 Z' n$ B6 c0 F
